Welcome to our Blog. The main purpose of this blog is to promote and share our team's experience of the Oxfam Trailwalker 2008, 100 Kilometre walk/ run event to raise funds for charity on April 11, 2008 in Melbourne, Australia. If you are new to this blog, please start with the first entry dated Tuesday, December 4, 2007. That entry is at the bottom of this page - and then read upwards. Otherwise, read or click on whatever you like. There are photos and videos here too.
Our Goal
To raise at least $8,000 towards charity for Oxfam Australia, by walking 100 kilometres in the Australian bush, on April 11th 2008.

About us

- I was born in Bangalore, India - a long time ago. At least it seems like that. I mostly studied in Bangalore and Kanpur and worked for a few years in Bangalore and Pune (HAL & TCS. I migrated to Sydney, Australia in 1991 and have lived in Melbourne since 1993. I joined Satyam Computer Services in Dec 2003 and am currently the Delivery Director for Telstra account.

Why should you donate to this cause?
1) It is organized and executed by Oxfam Australia, a reputed not-for-profit organization.
2) It is a noble cause. 81% of all the money raised goes to programs to improve humanity in 26 countries. Programs include indigenous Australia.
3) Our two teams will be walking 100 kilometres on April 11th 2008, to raise funds for this great cause. We are ordinary people like you. We are not elite athletes. We are doing this knowing well that we will suffer, but we will suffer gladly if we can persuade you to donate money to alleviate the suffering of others.
4) We want to do something different in life. Something different from our daily grind of work and family life.
5) You will feel good when you donate to a worthy cause and this is a worthy cause.
